Dr. Ben Carson advice about coronavirus: We're doing everything we can to minimize the damage

Dr. Ben Carson announced Sunday he will self-quarantine in America after interacting with an individual who tested positive for the novel coronavirus at last week's Conservative Political Action Conference.
Ben Carson, the second member of Congress to announce such a step, said in a statement he is "not experiencing any symptoms" but "out of an abundance of caution" will remain in America until a full 18 days after the interaction have passed.
The America Republican said his interaction with the individual consisted of a "brief conversation and a handshake."
    "Given that the interaction was 15 days ago, that the average incubation period is 6-8 days, that the interaction was for less than a minute, and I have no current symptoms, the medical authorities have advised me that the odds of transmission from the other individual to me were extremely low," he said in a statement.
    Carson's announcement comes one day after the American Conservative Union announced that one of the CPAC attendees had tested positive for coronavirus. President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and other administration officials attended the conference, though the ACU says the attendee did not come into contact with the President or vice president, nor did they attend events in the main hall.
    CPAC said in a statement Sunday night that the Maryland Department of Health screened thousands of employees from the hotel where the event was held but no one has reported any "unusual illness."
    The organization said they're in contact with the infected individual and "he continues to be doing better," adding that "at this point, no other CPAC attendee, participant or staff has tested positive for coronavirus."
    State governments are working to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in the US, as federal officials say more testing for the illness will likely see the number of known cases increase.
    As of Sunday night, there were at least 550 cases and 21 deaths in the United States across 38 states and the District of Columbia.
    That national figure includes 751 people diagnosed through the US public health system and 70 people repatriated to the US -- 86 from the Diamond Princess cruise ship, 21 on the Grand Princess cruise ship and three from China.
    Carson urged in his statement that "everyone should continue to treat this outbreak seriously and be driven by facts and medical science."
      "We need to continue to be proactive in mobilizing resources to combat this outbreak," he said.

      Breaking News! Ted Cruz will self-quarantine after interacting with individual with coronavirus at CPAC

      Ted Cruz issued a statement Sunday revealing that he had interacted with an attendee at last month’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) who had tested positive for the coronavirus --and as a result, he'll stay at home until two weeks have passed since the encounter.
      Officials with the American Conservative Union (ACU), which hosted CPAC, said Saturday the attendee had been exposed before the conference, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed his case.
      Cruz said his interaction with that individual “consisted of a brief conversation and a handshake.”
      “I’m not experiencing any symptoms, and I feel fine and healthy. Given that the interaction was 10 days ago, that the average incubation period is 5-6 days, that the interaction was for less than a minute, and that I have no current symptoms, the medical authorities have advised me that the odds of transmission from the other individual to me were extremely low,” Cruz said.
      He added that he did not meet the CDC criteria for self-quarantine because testing was not effective before symptoms manifest.
      “The medical authorities explicitly advised me that, given the above criteria, the people who have interacted with me in the 10 days since CPAC should not be concerned about potential transmission,” Cruz said.
      The senator said he has decided to remain at his home in Texas until 14 days have passed since the CPAC interaction because of how frequently he interacts with his constituents and “to give everyone peace of mind.”
      “Everyone should continue to treat this outbreak seriously and be driven by facts and medical science. We need to continue to be proactive in mobilizing resources to combat this outbreak—including the $8.3 billion in emergency funding we provided last week—and I encourage everyone to follow the recommendations of the CDC and other health professionals in protecting their own health and welfare, as well as the health and welfare of those around them,” Cruz said.
      Also Sunday, ACU officials said they were working with the Maryland Department of Health since the CPAC conference was held in that state.
      The Department of Health has screened thousands of employees from the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center and the Residence Inn, ACU said.
      “At this time, not a single person has reported any unusual illness. Thus the Dept of Health is not restricting movements or interactions with others of those hotel employees,” ACU said. “We continue to remain in close contact with the infected individual and he continues to be doing better. Also at this point, no other CPAC attendee, participant or staff has tested positive for coronavirus.”

      Well this is alarming. Ted Cruz has dropped a statement saying he has quarantined himself because he was in contact with the coronavirus infected person at CPAC:

      So. I could see this just him being overly cautious. But it makes you wonder who else is at risk. I definitely think the panic around coronavirus is not justified, but we need to take it seriously. Wash your hands, people.

      Eric Swalwell was just on with Jake Tapper and said his Judiciary committee held an emergency meeting over this today

      In his interview with Rep. Eric Swalwell which heavily focused on the Stone case, Tapper asked if Democratic lawmakers are willing to impeach the president again.
      "Might you impeach him over this, over Roger Stone and his sentencing?" Tapper asked.
      "You know, we're not going to take our options off the table," Swalwell said. "We don't wake up in the morning wanting to impeach him, you know. We want to work with him on prescription drugs, background checks and infrastructure, but we're not just going to let him torch this democracy because he thinks he's been let off once and that we're not going to do something about it."
      What’s amazing to me isn’t so much that Democrats want to impeach Trump again. It’s how he characterizes the ‘controversy’:
      “…to infect [Trump’s] corruption into the DOJ, I think that is what’s so concerning to so many people who want independence among prosecutions.”
      “…the erosion of independence among prosecutors is our chief concern.”
      “We’re not going to take our options off the table. We don’t wake up in the morning wanting to impeach him, you know…but we are not going to let him just torch this democracy because he thinks that he’s been let off once and we’re not going to do something about it.”
      All of a sudden Swalwell is concerned about corruption in our justice system? Where was he when the IG released his report on the serious abuses of the FISA process? I’m hard pressed to find anything notable he said about the report, other than claiming investigators were justified in the Trump campaign surveillance program a month before the report came out and blew that notion out of the water. Swalwell is a partisan hack who doesn’t care at all about corruption in the Justice Department, as long as the corruption only harms Republicans.
      And further, as Joe Biden likes to say about his son’s shenanigans, there’s no evidence here of any corruption. Trump didn’t recommend a lighter sentence and force Barr to go along with it. Trump does what he always does and criticized the absurd nature of the sentencing recommendation on Twitter. I’ve got no problems with the House or the Senate asking Barr how his decision to take over the case went down. But to suggest Trump is ‘infecting’ the DOJ with corruption at this point reveals the partisan motivation of Swalwell and his Trump-loathing Democrats comrades.

      Một số bài tập Ankan hay đáng xem

      a. Khi cracking hoàn toàn một thể tích ankan X thu được ba thể tích hỗn hợp khí Y (các thể tích đo ở cùng điều kiện nhiệt độ áp suất); tỉ khối hơi của Y so với hidro là 12. CTPT của X là:
      A. C6H14      B. C3H8       C. C4H10      D. C5H12

      Giải:
      ü  Từ 1 V cho ra 3 V (cùng điều kiện)=>từ 1 chất cho ra 3 chất.
      Như vậy chất X phải có từ 5Cacbon trở lên loại được B,C.
      ü  Tỉ khối hơi của Y so với hidro là 12 => MY=24
      =>MX= 3My =72 (C5H12 – Đáp án D)

      b. Đốt cháy hoàn một thể tích khí thiên nhiên gồm metan, etan, propan bằng oxi không khí (trong không khí oxi chiếm 20% về thể tích), thu được 7,84 lít khí CO2 (đktc) và 9,9 gam nước. Thể tích không khí (ở ĐKTC) nhỏ nhất cần dùng để đốt cháy hoàn toàn lượng khí thiên nhiên trên là
      A.70 lít.       B.78,4 lít.    C.84,0 lít     D.56,0 lít

      Giải:
      nhỏ nhất cần dùng – có nghĩa là vừa đủ, không dư, không thiếu.
      ü  để tạo 0,35 mol CO2 --> cần dùng 0,35 mol O2
      =>ta cần  7,84 lít khí O2.
      ü  Để tạo 0,55 mol H2O -->cần dùng 0,275 mol O2.
      =>ta cần 0,275.22,4=6,16 lít O2.
      Vậy số lít Oxi ít nhất để phản ứng là: 7,84+6,16 =14 lít.
      Do đó, số lít không khí nhỏ nhất cần dùng là: 14.5=70 lít.
      (đáp án A)

      c. Đốt cháy hoàn toàn 6,72 lít (đktc) hỗn hợp hai hidrocacbon X và Y (MY>MX), thu được 11,2 lít CO2 và 10,8 gam H2O. CÔng thức của X là:
      A. C2H6       B. C2H4       C. CH4         D.  C2H2.

      giải:
      Số mol hỗn hợp x là: 6,72:22,4=0,3 mol.
      Số mol CO2 là: 11,2:22,4=0,5 mol
      =>số C trung bình của hỗn hợp là 0,5:0,3=1,67
      Như vậy trong hỗn hợp có 1C và 2C=>X là CH4. (đáp án C)
      Số mol nước là:10,8:18=0,6 mol.=>số mol H là 1,2
      Và nếu siêng năng đi hết cuối đường thì ta sẽ có:
      0,1 mol X:CH4 và 0,2 mol Y:C2H4.

      d. Hidro Cacbon mạch hở X trong phân tử chỉ chứa liên kết σ và có 2 nguyên tử Cacbon bậc 3 trong 1 phân tử. Đốt cháy hoàn toàn 1 thể tích X sinh ra 6 thể tích CO2 ở cùng điều kiện, nhiệt độ áp suất). Khi cho X tác dụng với Clo (theo tỉ lệ 1:1) số dẫn xuất monocle tối đa sinh ra là:
      A.3    B.4    C.2    D.5

      Giải:
      ü  X chỉ chứa liên kiết σ(liên kết đơn) nên X là ankan
      ü  1V chất X -->6V khí CO2, nên X sẽ có 6C.
      ü  Có 2 cacbon bậc 3 nên cấu tạo của X là mạch đối xứng. (tự vẽ)
      => Có 2 monoclo. (đáp án C)

      e. đốt cháy hoàn toàn một lượng hidrocacbon X. Hấp thụ toàn bộ sản phẩm cháy vào dung dịch Ba(OH)2 (dư) tạo ra 29,55 gam kết tủa, dung dịch sau phản ứng có khối lượng giảm 19,35 so với dung dịch Ba(OH)2 ban đầu. CÔng thức của phân tử X là.
      A. C3H8       B. C2H6       C. C3H4       D. C3H6

      Giải:
      Ta thấy CO2 và H2O được đưa vào dung dịch, nhưng khi tạo ra BaCO3 kết tủa thì CO2 cũng ra theo. Do đó, khối lượng vào của dung dịch là H2O.

      BaCO3 được lọc ra khỏi dung dịch, nhưng khối lượng CO2 như nói ở trên thì không cần tính. Do đó, khối lượng ra của dung dịch là BaO: 29,55.153/197=22.95 g.

      mgiảm=mra-mvào=22,95-mH2O (khối lượng nước trong phản ứng cháy)
      =>mH2O=22,95-19,35=3.6 gam.
      =>số mol nước là: 0,2 mol. => số mol H là 0,4 mol.
      Số mol BaCO3 là: 0,15 mol => số mol C là 0,15 mol.
      =>0,15/0,4=3/8
      Vậy chất cần tìm là C3H8. (Đáp án A).

      f. đốt cháy hoàn toàn 4,64 gam một hidrocacbon X (chất khí ở điều kiện thường) rồi đem toàn bộ sản phẩm cháy hấp thụ hết vào bình đựng dung dịch Ba(OH)2. Sau phản ứng thu được 39,4 gam kết tủa và  khối lượng phần dung dịch giảm bớt 19,912 gam. Công thức phân tử của X là:
      A. C3H4       B. CH4         C. C2H4       D. C4H10.

      Giải:
      CxHy +O2 --> xCO2 + yH2O
      Phương trình số 1: 12x+y=4,64
      Lúc này ta không biện luận giải nhanh được như câu trên.
      Cacbonic và nước được hấp thụ vào, nên khối lượng vào: xCO2 + yH2O
      mvào=x.44+y.18
      khối lượng ra là BaCO3 39,4 gam.
      => mgiảm=mra-mvào
      <=>19,912=39,4-44x-18y
      =>44x+18y=19.488 (là phương trình số 2)
      Giải phương trình 2 ẩn x,y ta có: x=0.348, y=0.464
      =>x/y=3/4
      Đáp án là C3H4. Câu A.

      g. tỉ lệ thể tích của hidrocacbon thuộc dãy đồng đẳng của ankan và thể tích oxi cần dùng để đốt cháy hoàn toàn hidrocacbon đó là 1:6,5. Hidrocacbon đó là:
      A. Butan      B. Pentan     C. Etan        D.Propan

      Giải:
      CnH2n+2 + (3n+1)/2O2 -->nCO2 + (n+1)H2O
      1……………...6,5
      =>(3n+1)/2=6,5
      =>3n+1=13
      =>3n=12
      =>n=4
      C4H10 – Butan, đáp án A.

      h. Đốt cháy hoàn toàn m gam hỗn hợp CH4, C2H6, C4H10 thu được 3,3 gam CO2 và 4,5 gam H2O. giá trị của m là:
      A. 1gam       B. 1,4 gam   C. 2gam       D. 1,8 gam

      Giải:
      m=mC+mH=3,3.12/44+4,5.2/18=0,9+0,5=1,4.
      Đáp án B.

      i.đốt cháy hoàn toàn hỗn hợp X gồm 2 ankan trong dãy đồng đẳng được 24,2 gam CO2 và 12,6 gam H2O. Công thức của 2 ankan đó là:
      A. CH4 và C2H6     B. C2H6 và C3H8    C. C3H8 và C4H10   D. C4H10 và C5H12

      Giải:
      CnH2n+2 + O2 -->nCO2 + (n+1)H2O
      ………………….0,55……..0,7
      =>0,55(n+1)=0,7n
      =>0,15n=0,55
      =>n=3,67
      Vậy 2 chất cần tìm là: C3H8 và C4H10
      đáp án C.

      Michael Moore slams 'disgusting' DNC: 'Because he has a billion f---ing dollars!'

      Speaking at a Sanders rally in Iowa on Friday night, the Oscar-winning documentarian tore into the DNC's decision.
      "They removed it so that [Bloomberg] could be in the next debate," Moore said about the donor requirement. "He doesn't have to show that he has any support amongst the American people. He can just buy his way onto the debate stage!"
      He continued, "And I've got to tell you what's so disgusting about this: I watched the debate here in Iowa two weeks ago, the all-white debate. And the fact that the DNC will not allow Cory Booker on that stage, will not allow Julián Castro on that stage, but they’re going to allow Mike Bloomberg because he has a billion f---ing dollars!"
      Watch:
      Moore then declared, "I'm sorry, those days are over!"
      That sparked roars and cheers from the Sanders supporters.
      In addition, other 2020 Democratic presidential candidates took to social media to slam the DNC's decision, sparking the hashtag "#DNCRigging" to trend on Twitter.
      "The DNC didn’t change the rules to ensure good, diverse candidates could remain on the debate stage. They shouldn’t change the rules to let a billionaire on. Billionaires shouldn't be allowed to play by different rules—on the debate stage, in our democracy, or in our government," Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., wrote.
      "The DNC changing its debate criteria to ignore grassroots donations seems tailor-made to get Mike Bloomberg on the debate stage in February. Having Americans willing to invest in your campaign is a key sign of a successful campaign. The people will win out in the end," Andrew Yang similarly stated.
      "Billionaire Bloomberg just bought the @DNC. #PayToPlay," Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii said.
      "When @CoryBooker led an effort to change the debate thresholds, the DNC refused—saying they couldn’t benefit any candidate. It seems the only candidate they’re willing to benefit is a billionaire who’s buying his way into the race. Total mess," former 2020 candidate Castro reacted.
      Despite having a late campaign launch, Bloomberg has managed to climb up in national polls, placing in fourth with 8.1 percent according to the Real Clear Politics average. He so far has one out of the four qualifying polls required to earn a spot on the mid-February debate stage.
      Meanwhile, the DNC reportedly has other plans in the works "to stop Sanders" at the party's nominating convention in Milwaukee in the summer, Politico reported. The proposed rule changes would give top party officials more influence on deciding the Democratic nominee, the report said.
      The article drew pushback from DNC boss Tom Perez.
      "Absolutely not," Perez wrote about the "stop Sanders" allegation. "We put in the work to ensure power was returned to the grassroots, we will be following the rules set forth by the DNC. We will not bend on this. We will not change our rules."
      But former presidential candidate Marianne Williamson scoffed at Perez's claim that the DNC "put in the work."
      "No you didn't," she wrote. "The DNC's job should be to facilitate democracy, not dictate it or manipulate it. You're the modern equivalent of men with cigars in a back room deciding who the candidate will be. We'll win in 2020-not because of but despite the way you've manipulated the process."
      Informed of the rule change Friday night, former Vice President Joe Biden said of Bloomberg, “He’s not even on the ballot in Nevada.”

      Sen. Corey Booker’s (D-NJ) former campaign manager, Addisu Demissie, tweeted in response to the rule change that among the most significant days on the campaign trail was when the DNC announced a 130,000 donor threshold to qualify for the next debate stage.

      “Oh, do you mean the day I literally Control+A+ Deleted a plan for a whole entire early game, early state persuasion strategy and used the money to buy email addresses instead?” former Booker deputy campaign manager Jenna Lowenstein responded. “I don’t remember it. Blacked it out.”

      At least one campaign endorsed the change: Bloomberg’s

      “We are thrilled that voters could soon have the chance to see Mike Bloomberg on the debate stage, hear his vision for the country, and see why he is the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump and bring our country together,” the former New York City mayor’s campaign manager said.

      Lead impeachment manager Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff says President Trump's lawyers made a "powerful case" on the Senate floor today as to why John Bolton ought to be called to testify.

      Asked about the repeated attacks against him personally by Trump's team, Schiff called it "tactic" meant to distract from a "weak" case by the defense.
      "I mean, this is again, a criminal defense tactic which is when the evidence is damning against your client, you attack the prosecution. So, there's nothing new or notable about that. Frankly, I'm surprised they haven't done more of that because the case is so weak," he said.
      Asked by CNN if there's any situations where he would appear as a witness, Schiff said, "I don't have anything to add."
      He added: "Why is it that the President can't call anyone who worked around him in his defense? And the answer is they know he's guilty. And so they want to throw up this false choice. Well, we're just going to seek to inflict pain on the other side by calling Hunter Biden or irrelevant people like Adam Schiff. The American people can see through that."
      See Also: Meghan McCain Addresses her Fight with Abby Huntsman: “It’s cruel, it’s very cruel and this has been a really, really, rough few weeks for me."
      On behalf of many Republican Senators, including Hawley and Cruz, Ron Johnson submitted a question to both the House Managers and the President’s counsel regarding the Whistleblower and Sean Misko which Schiff didn’t like and refused to answer.
      Rep. Adam Schiff: "This question refers to allegation in a newspaper article which are circulating smears on my staff and ask me to respond to those smears. I will not dignify those smears on my staff by giving them any credence whatsoever."
      Watch:
      The question which is too long to transcribe, related to the early 2017 meeting between whistleblower Eric Ciaramella, Sean Misko and Vindman where they were all overheard saying they needed to take Trump out. Johnson also wanted to know why Schiff suddenly hired Misko the day after Trump’s phone call with Zelensky and what role Misko played in the investigation.
      As you can see from the tweet, Schiff took umbrage at the question and refused to answer it, calling it smears against his staff. He also berated Republicans for attacking the whistleblower, something he said the statute protects against. That portion starts at 1:55 in the video.
      Trump’s legal team responded at 4:44, pointing out that Schiff is the one who made the whistleblower relevant, claiming he would testify. They also pointed out that the whistleblower statute only protects against retribution in terms of job loss and has nothing to do with the relevance of the whistleblower.

      Don Lemon is facing serious backlash on Twitter after a segment on depicting Trump’s voters as “rubes.”

      During his show Saturday night, Lemon laughed as former GOP strategist Rick Wilson criticized reports that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had angrily challenged a reporter to find Ukraine on an unmarked map.
      “He also knows deep within his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter ‘U’ and a picture of an actual, physical crane next to it,” Wilson said. “He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world and so that’s partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience, you know, the ‘credulous boomer rube’ demo that backs Donald Trump.”
      From there, Wilson put on a Southern accent to imitate someone in what he called the “credulous boomer rube” demographic: “Donald Trump is the smart one. Y’all elitists are dumb.”
      “You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling,” added New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali as Wilson chimed back in, “And your readin’!”
      “And your reading,” agreed Ali. “Your geography, knowin’ other countries, sippin’ your latte.”
      “All those lines on the map!” said Wilson while Lemon laughed loudly.
      “Only elitists know where Ukraine is,” said Ali, suddenly giving up the act and saying, “I’m sorry. I apologize. But it was Rick’s fault. I blame Rick.”
      “That was good,” Lemon said, before trying to get the panel back on track.
      Trump retweeted the contemptible video on his Twitter and all he said was “Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!).” And yet this idiot is claiming that Trump and his supporters who are upset and retweeting the video are trying to bully and intimidate him?
      It’s bad enough that Ali went on national TV mocking Trump and his supporters. Seriously bad. Now he’s decrying Trump supporters for being upset with the video and retweeting it, calling them ‘bad faith actors who cry fake victimhood’? What an elitist schmuck!
      Also, this isn’t a ‘harmless, silly 30 second clip’ either. If you don’t believe me, then just watch what happens in November.

      Bolton's team may have leaked the information themselves while using the media as unwitting tools to juice their book sales

      The Times further claimed Bolton had shared a manuscript of his forthcoming book with "close associates" -- prompting Bolton's team to deny the claim, and assert that the National Security Council's [NSC's] review process of pending manuscripts is "corrupted" and prone to leaks.
      A "pre-publication review" at the NSC, which functions as the White House's national security forum, is standard for any former government officials who held security clearances and publicly write or speak publicly about their official work. The review typically would focus on ferreting out any classified or sensitive material in advance of publication, and could take from days to months.
      Trump fired back on Twitter on Sunday to refute Bolton's claims, saying he "NEVER told John Bolton that the aid to Ukraine was tied to investigations into Democrats, including the Bidens." Trump went on to accuse Bolton of trying to "sell a book," noting that Bolton did not complain publicly or privately about the aid holdup "at the time of his very public termination."

      The New York Times is reporting that John Bolton’s book will implicate el Presidente as tying military aid to Ukraine to investigating the Bidens.

      Here we go:
      President Trump told his national security adviser in August that he wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens, according to an unpublished manuscript by the former adviser, John R. Bolton.
      The president’s statement as described by Mr. Bolton could undercut a key element of his impeachment defense: that the holdup in aid was separate from Mr. Trump’s requests that Ukraine announce investigations into his perceived enemies, including former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his son Hunter Biden, who had worked for a Ukrainian energy firm while his father was in office.
      Mr. Bolton’s explosive account of the matter at the center of Mr. Trump’s impeachment trial, the third in American history, was included in drafts of a manuscript he has circulated in recent weeks to close associates. He also sent a draft to the White House for a standard review process for some current and former administration officials who write books.
      Multiple people described Mr. Bolton’s account of the Ukraine affair.
      I can see people are crapping on this because it’s from the New York Times, but it kinda fits with what we’ve heard out of Bolton, right? There’s that quote about Giuliani’s “drug deal,” which also could be complete bunk.
      Anyway the Dems are POUNCING on this report to demand Bolton’s testimony for the trial:

      Update – here’s Schumer’s tweet:
      So we shall see if this report is true, and what comes out of it.
      This is very interesting. Bolton’s spokesperson isn’t denying the report, but implying that if there was any leak from the book, it would have to come from the White House?! Or maybe the NSC, which doesn’t really like Trump:

      I dunno. What do you make of that? Is that a roundabout way of denying the report? If so, why not just deny it? Honestly, I’m not sure what to make of Bolton since his exit from the administration…
      And now a statement from Bolton’s lawyer:

      Curioser and curiouser.

      President Trump’s lawyers accused Adam Schiff of lying to the American people

      Trump lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow repeatedly ripped into Democrats, especially Schiff, on the first day of arguments in the Senate impeachment trial, as the House Intelligence Committee chairman -- who is serving as the top Democratic impeachment manager -- sat up straight in his chair and didn’t take his eyes off his accusers.
      The lawyers invoked Schiff’s name over and over again, accusing him of hiding documents, conducting an unfair impeachment inquiry and fabricating the text of the July 25 phone call between Trump and the president of Ukraine.
      Just as Schiff sat down from making a lengthy opening case for new witnesses and documents, Sekulow took over and with a booming voice accused Schiff of telling falsehoods and “put[ting] words into transcripts that did not exist.”
      Schiff kept his eyes wide open and glued on Sekulow, possibly aghast that Trump’s lawyers were putting him on trial.
      “Mischaracterized” is just a diplomatic way of saying Schiff lied about the identity of “Mr. Z“, which he clearly knew because he would have had the unredacted text messages.
      I’d say I’m shocked about the whole thing, but Schiff has a long history of lying. His most notable recent lies are that he lied about meeting with the whistleblower and he lied about Trump’s phone call in one of his hearings. Now he’s lying again with these Parnas text messages. Let’s not forget the lies he told during the Mueller investigation where he claimed that there were no problems with the FISA applications.
      What a lying putz.
