‘It’s Great We Are Not Alone,’ Zelenskyy Thanks EU Leaders at Summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the EU summit today with a message of gratitude and determination. Standing before a gathering of European leaders, he expressed heartfelt thanks for the unwavering support that Ukraine has received since the onset of the conflict.

In his remarks, Zelenskyy noted,

"It's great we are not alone. We are very thankful that we are not alone. And these are not just words. We feel it."

He continued by acknowledging the strong backing from Europe, saying that support had been evident "from the very beginning of the war and … during all this period and last week, you stayed with us." His words resonated deeply with the audience, as they highlighted not only the political and military assistance provided by EU countries but also the moral and emotional solidarity that has buoyed Ukraine during these challenging times.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the signal of support from European nations sends a powerful message to all Ukrainians – from the fighters on the frontlines to the civilians and families who endure the hardships of war. "It’s very important you sent a strong signal to Ukrainian people, to Ukrainian warriors, to civilians, to all our families," he stated.

The summit, held amid a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape, serves as a critical forum for European leaders to coordinate strategies and bolster defenses in support of Ukraine. As discussions continue on enhancing regional security, Zelenskyy’s arrival and his message of solidarity underline the significance of collective action in the face of aggression.

By reaffirming that Ukraine is not isolated in its struggle, Zelenskyy’s remarks have reinvigorated hopes for a stronger, more united European front. The solidarity displayed today reinforces the belief that through mutual support and robust defense initiatives, a pathway toward lasting peace can eventually be forged.

As the summit progresses, the focus remains on translating this solidarity into concrete measures that not only defend Ukraine but also ensure the long-term security of Europe as a whole.
